Hello, I'm Shirani,

I grew up in the North Island of New Zealand on Wellington's southern coast before moving to the Kapiti region almost 15 years ago. I have really enjoyed living the rural life here.

​

I was fascinated by the work that was going on as part of the upgrades to State Highway One - including the Kapiti Expressway and more recently Transmission Gully and the Peka Peka to Ōtaki Expressway. This inspired me to write my first children's' book -

History Highway - A Story of State Highway One.
